BACH Festival: looking back on the trip to Leipzig

20 June 2018

From 7th to 11th of June, around thirty members of the Festival de la Vézère gathered at Leipzig for the BACH festival during a wonderful musical weekend!

The journey to Leipzig for the members of the Festival was punctuated by visits, meetings and wonderful musical discoveries...
They followed in Bach footsteps during these few days as they visited the Bach museum, the Saint Thomas and Sain Nicolas churches where Bach was cantor and musical director.

The participants also visited the House of Mendelssohn and the town of Weimar: intellectual and musical centre of Germany thanks to Goethe.
Amid these musical moments: wonderful concerts with the Thomasnerchor of Leipzig and the Gewandhausorchester and also a splendid night at the Opera with St John Passion by J.S Bach...

You can also become a member of the Festival de la Vézère to benefit from numerous advantages and to have the opportunity to take part in January 2019 to the "Folle Journée de Nantes" and to a trip abroad. The destination will be revealed soon...
